GUTE AUSSICHTEN

„gute aussichten 2009/2010“ will present the final year projects of young German photographers. In 2009, for the seven time, we invited photography graduates from German universities and academies to take part in our competition. They are 8 winners to a total of 91 participants. The House of Photography at Deichtorhallen Hamburg will present the exhibition from April 30 – Mai 30, 2010. The show has 104 images, two projections, two DVDs, two books, one Container and several show cases und Glas objects.

The selection was made from 33 German Academies and Universities final year projects by a jury who consist of Joseline Raab (curator and initiator of „gute aussichten“), Ingo Taubhorn (Curator of the “House of the photography“), Mario Lombardo (Art director, Berlin), Luminita Sabau (Director Art Collection of the DZ Bank, Frankfurt/Main), Wibke von Bonin (Art Historian and TV editor, Cologne), artist Annelies Strba (Zurich) and Stefan Ostermeier (Photo Editor of the magazine "brand eins", Hamburg).

The wish of „gute aussichten“ is to organize a nationwide annual forum for talented young artists who are working with photography. Thus „ gute aussichten “ create a link between the works of the young photographers, the large public, the interested observers and professionals in photography.
